Equipped with a deck of playing cards, dice, and your trusty journal, you'll weave an immersive narrative filled with arcane symbolism, esoteric mysteries, and unique locations to explore. Tread carefully, for the truth may lead you down a treacherous path from which there is no escape.
ABOUT THE GAME:
We Who Are Alight is a structured journaling game that provides players with a premise, locations to explore, encounters, challenges, and game mechanics that generate creative writing prompts. Players use these prompts to write journal entries that weave together into a larger narrative.
REQUIRED MATERIALS:
- A standard 52-card deck (Jokers removed)
- Two six-sided die (d6)
- A journal for recording your journey
Blank Journal Pages: I've included blank journal pages for those using an iPad or Remarkable device.
Author Note: This is my second structured journaling game. I'm hoping to improve it overtime as I feel like my writing is still a little stiff (the result of years of writing marketing copy lol). I hope you enjoy your time in the world of We Who Are Alight. I'd like to eventually make a software version of this game as well.
